The Emergenetics® Profile

Emergenetics® is a research-based profile developed by Dr. Geil Browning and Dr. Wendell Williams to help individuals and organizations better understand how people prefer to think and behave. The approach brings together insights from psychology, cognitive and social neuroscience, and organizational development to make cognitive and behavioral preferences visible in a practical, accessible way. Rather than placing people into fixed categories, Emergenetics® helps reveal the different ways individuals process information, communicate, solve problems, respond to others, and contribute to teams.

The Emergenetics® Profile identifies four Thinking Attributes: Analytical, Structural, Social, and Conceptual;  and three Behavioral Attributes: Expressiveness, Assertiveness, and Flexibility. Together, these seven attributes provide a unique and personalized picture of how someone is likely to approach work, relationships, decisions, change, collaboration, and leadership.
