IFTDO Global Accreditation

Advancing Quality and Impact in Learning & Development

The International Federation of Training and Development Organizations (IFTDO) has launched a global initiative to strengthen the quality, credibility, and impact of professional learning and development programs.

Our accreditation framework is designed to recognize training providers and facilitators who demonstrate excellence in:

  • program design and relevance
  • instructional quality
  • learner engagement
  • measurable learning outcomes
  • continuous improvement

IFTDO accreditation helps training providers and learning professionals demonstrate their commitment to global standards of quality and professional development.

We are currently operating in a Pilot phase, working with a select group of organizations and facilitators to refine the accreditation framework and ensure it is accessible and relevant across regions.

Two Accreditation Pathways

Program Accreditation

Program Accreditation recognizes high-quality professional learning programs that demonstrate strong instructional design, relevance to workforce needs, and measurable learning outcomes. Program accreditation is appropriate for: professional and workforce development programs, or specialized technical or leadership training programs.

Programs are evaluated across several dimensions, including:

  • Program Relevance
  • Curriculum Structure
  • Instructional Methodology
  • Assessment and Evaluation
  • Trainer Qualifications
  • Learning Outcomes and Impact

Facilitator Accreditation

Facilitator Accreditation recognizes individual professionals who demonstrate excellence in the design and delivery of learning experiences. This pathway is designed for experienced: trainers, facilitators, or coaches. Facilitator accreditation evaluates areas such as:

  • Professional Expertise
  • Instructional Practice
  • Learner Engagement
  • Professional Impact
